This Morning viewers have begged for comedian Joel Dommett to be made a permanent host on the ITV daytime show.
Joel stepped in to host This Morning with Holly Willoughby Wednesday and Thursday (March 30) this week while regular host Phillip Schofield was away.
It’s not the first presenter shake-up This Morning has revealed this week, either, because Alison Hammond hosted with Holly on Monday and Tuesday before taking time off.

Joel admitted his nerves kicked in when he heard the iconic This Morning theme tune, telling her: “I wasn’t nervous until I heard the theme tune.”

Holly replied: “It’s that iconic sound. It’s like, ‘It’s happening!”
Joel then added: “I didn’t sleep a wink,” before joking to Holly: “Will you hold my hand under the table?”
The Masked Singer host also revealed his wife Hannah Cooper issued him a warning before his big This Morning debut.
He said: “She said I have to be careful not to do my Masked Singer voice in the morning!”

But it seems Joel has done a great job as fans on Twitter were campaigning for him to be made a permanent presenter – some even wanted him instead of Phillip.
One fan wrote: “Joel needs to do this job permanently. #thismorning.”
Another said: “@joeldommett is the best thing to happen to #ThisMorning in a very, very long time! He made me laugh out loud more than once!”

A third wrote: “Wow I didn’t expect Joel Dommett to present with Holly Willoughby on today’s #ThisMorning but he did a great job huge well done to him and I would love him to be presenting again especially maybe with Alison gotta love Joel! :).”
A fourth wanted Joel to replace Phillip on the show as they added: “Can Joel just permanently replace Philip on #thismorning?”
A fifth added: “Campaign to get Joel Dommett on @thismorning everyday!”
