This Morning’s Holly Willoughby ‘joined by two presenters’ next week in latest shake-up

This Morning has reportedly set for another big shake-up next week as Holly Willoughby makes her return to the ITV show.

Holly has been away from the show recently after her former co-host Phillip Schofield left ITV and admitted to an affair with a younger male colleague.

She’s set to return to the show on Monday (June 5) after an extended half-term break, but it’s believed she’s going to be joined by two presenters.

It was announced on Friday (June 2) that Holly would be joined by fellow presenter Josie Gibson, who often steps in when the main hosts can’t do the show.

It’s now understood that Craig Doyle will host with Holly on Wednesday and Thursday, with Josie presenting with Holly on the Tuesday.

But Alison Hammond, who recently got tearful over Phil, and Dermot O’Leary are scheduled to present on Friday as normal.

A source told The Sun: “Josie’s bubbly personality is just what the show needs to bounce back from a nightmare few weeks.

“She’s larger than life and will ease the pressure on Holly, who viewers will be glued to after the loss of her long time telly partner.

“Craig has also been lined up and it’s a sign that the permanent role is his for the taking.

“Viewers have taken to him straight away and, not only is he easy on the eye, but he’s a natural in front of camera.”

Holly paid tribute to Phil with an emotional statement following his departure from This Morning.

Taking to Instagram, she wrote: “It’s been over 13 great years presenting This Morning with Phil and I want to take this opportunity to thank him for all of his knowledge, his experience and his humour. The sofa won’t feel the same without him.”

Phillip recently admitted that he feels “broken” and that his daughters have saved his life following the fallout from his affair.

In a bombshell BBC interview, he said: “If my girls hadn’t been there, I wouldn’t be here. Because I don’t see a future. How much do you want a man to take – and are you truly only happy when he’s dead?

“This is how Caroline Flack felt and it didn’t stop.”
