Tipping Point fans distracted as EastEnders’ Bonnie Langford lookalike joins show

Fans of Tipping Point were left sidetracked during the latest episode as they were convinced they spotted a famous face on the ITV gameshow.

During Tuesday’s edition (July 25), a contestant named Gill quickly took the lead in the first round, leaving her competitors and presenter Ben Shephard stunned.

But some fans at home couldn’t help but compare Gill’s gorgeous looks to former EastEnders star Bonnie Langford and headed to Twitter to share their thoughts.

One viewer joked: “Bonnie Langford’s a bit smart.”

Another fan went a step further and shared a photo of actress Bonnie and wrote, “Gill!”

While another said: “What a genuinely nice person Jill is.”

This isn’t the first time ITV viewers have been left distracted by a player who they believed looked similar to a famous star.

A few months back, fans couldn’t keep their eyes off a player called Maddie who they believed looked like the cartoon character Velma from Scooby Doo.

Heading over to Twitter at the time, one spectator said: “I see Maddie’s rocking the Velma look, accompanied by a gif of Velma saying “lets get jinxy with it”.

Another added: “Good to see Velma from Scooby Doo as a contestant today.”

While another simply said: “Scooby Scooby dooo…”

During Tuesday’s show, Gill’s good luck knew no bounds as many viewers at home predicted that she would head straight to the final after gaining a significant lead in the first round.

But as well as attaining a number of counters from the machine, Gill also showcased exceptional general knowledge as she managed to answer a few questions correctly too.

However, fans were left distracted once again as they claimed Gill was using a funny voice as she spoke.

Heading straight over to Twitter again, one person wrote: “Why is Gill pretending to be feeble and pathetic.”

While another complained: “Putting on annoying voice.”

But despite some harsh feedback from viewers at home, Gill managed to walk away with £2,850.
