A CBS Los Angeles meteorologist fainted during a live TV broadcast on Saturday leaving viewers extremely concerned for her well-being.
Alissa Carlson Schwartz joined the KCAL morning team and was all set for her 7am weather update when the incident occurred.
However, just moments before the 42-year old began her report she lost consciousness.

The Illinois-born star could be seen wit her eyes rolling back before slumping forward over her desk. Seconds later she collapsed backwards out of shot.
Studio anchors Rachel Kim and Nichelle Medina appeared to pause in shock for a moment before cutting straight to a commercial break.
Alarming viewers further, the show failed to return with the broadcaster opting insterad to air pre-recorded and promotional programming instead for the several hours that followed.
Around five hours after her collapse CBS Los Angeles Vice President and News Director Mike Dello Stritto updated TMZ: ““Our colleague Alissa Carlson became ill during our 7 AM newscast this morning. I want to thank her co-workers who took immediate action to comfort Alissa and call 911.
“Alissa is being treated at the hospital right now. Hopefully we’ll know more shortly. In the meantime, Alissa will be in our thoughts and we’re praying for her to be feeling much better soon.”
It comes some nine years after Alissa threw up during a weather report whilst working for a different station. Following tests she was diagnosed with a leaky heart valve.
Although there’s been no word from the weather reporter herself, KCAL did offer a positive update via its Twitter account in the evening.
It wrote: “All of us at KCAL News want thank you for your thoughts and prayers after Meteorologist Alissa Carlson fainted during our morning newscast. Alissa is now resting and recovering. She says she’s going to be okay..
