Ryan Reynolds says Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place was the best acting job he’s ever had.
The Deadpool star spent four seasons, from 1998 to 2001, playing Michael “Berg” Bergen, a rebellious yet charming young chap who was drawn to causing chaos in the lives of his friends.
Later called just Two Guys and a Girl, the series chronicled the lives of a group of twenty-somethings living in Boston, and was often compared to New York based monolith, Friends.

Free Guy actor Reynolds said he wouldn’t hesitate to bring together the old gang again, adding: “I would do that in a heartbeat. That was one of the best jobs I’ve ever had in my life. Truly. I mean it. I loved every second of it.”
And now, to mark the 25th anniversary of the programme’s first airing on March 10, 1998, we’ve taken a look at what the main players have been up to since the show was canned.
Ryan Reynolds – Michael Eugene Leslie “Berg” Bergen
It’s safe to say of all the cast members Reynolds is the one whose career went onto a whole new level after the show finished
The mischievous everyman with boyish good looks became very big in Hollywood.
Reynolds, 46, starred in a number of well received films, collecting a Sexiest Man Alive award in 2010 along the way, before he made his biggest commercial success with the Deadpool franchise.
Away from the world of red carpets and premieres Reynolds has been a very keen investor in a number of multimillion dollar business ventures, including a stake in Aviation American Gin, which was subsequently bought out in a deal valued at up to $610 million.
One other high profile investment consisted of Reynolds and fellow actor Rob McElhenney purchasing the non-league Welsh football club Wrexham AFC, which was covered by the 2022 TV documentary series Welcome to Wrexham.
Richard Ruccolo – Peter Dunville
Richard Ruccolo played Peter Dunville who was often neurotic and anxious about what may occur with his professional and romantic life.
However, there was no such awkwardness when he started dating former Saved by the Bell beauty Tiffani Thiessen.
The pair met on the set of Two Guys and a Girl when Thiessen made several guest appearances on the series, and were engaged prior to their split in 2003.
He described the getting his part on the series as being like “winning the lottery”, and since its cancellation has appeared in a handful of films and TV series’, including a 40 episode run in Rita Rocks.
According to IMDb the 51-year-old Ruccolo hasn’t worked on television or film since 2016
Speaking in 2016 he said: “I’m honestly up to nothing. I’m always looking for work. Just the way this business is to some.
“I spend all of my days with my wife who’s my best friend. We have a great life and an RV that we’re usually in traveling around doing mostly nothing in different places.”
Traylor Howard – Sharon Carter-Donnelly
After the series ended, Howard, 56, went on to star in the short-lived sitcoms, Boston Common and Bram & Alice, alongside actor Alfred Molina
Howard subsequently starred in the TV series Monk from 2005 until 2009, picking up a Gracie Allen Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress – Comedy Series, along the way.
However since 2010 she hasn’t appeared in anything.
In July 2019, Howard was interviewed by Jane Mayer for a New Yorker piece detailing sexual misconduct allegations against former United States Senator Al Franken, with whom she performed on a USO tour in 2005.
She defended Franken against misconduct allegations, saying, in part: “I get the whole #MeToo thing, and a whole lot of horrible stuff has happened, and it needed to change. But that’s not what was happening here. Franken is a good man.”

The latter, a crime comedy-drama, was a hit show that ran for an eight seasons, concluding back in 2016.
Despite the onscreen chemistry between the show’s leads, Fillion and Stana Katic, sources claimed that the pair wouldn’t speak to each other on the set and that Stana would often be in tears in her dressing room.
An insider went as far as to suggest that the pair attended therapy together in an attempt to resolve their differences.
Fillion has kept himself busy in both TV and film, with an increasing amount of voice work roles over the past decade.
