Uma Thurman revealed Quentin Tarantino had a very unique way of ‘punishing’ his actors while filming Kill Bill.
The director opted for a rather NSFW way of disciplining staff if they fell asleep on the job – using a giant dildo.
Though the bizarre method might not wash these days, back in 2003 Uma was left giggling as she revealed just how things went down while filming the movie.

During an appearance on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Uma revealed: “[Tarantino] had a weapon of choice.”
She confessed he’d use a large dildo which she described as an “elephant inseminator” to capture its true girth.
“Whenever snores would be found in various corners of the set, it would be brought out like Jaws. It would be presented in some really ungodly, horrific angle next to the face of the offending sleeper,” she admitted.
Uma confessed she found the method “unkind”, and was “troubled” by his use of the instrument.
Tarantino, however, even had a nickname for the sex toy, branding it Big Jerry and confirming it was a huge purple dildo.
He admitted: “It did always kind of bug me when you shoot at night and all of a sudden you see a crew member sleeping or an actor sleeping. That always kind of bugged me.
“So I came up with something where it wouldn’t bug me.”
Even Kurt Russell has experienced the huge sex toy, explaining to Graham Norton on his chat show: “I love the guy and I think he’s great.
“One [rule] is tougher on me, I grew up sleeping on set so when I hear people working I like to slump down in the chair and take a nap.
“He won’t allow sleeping on set. If anyone is caught sleeping, one of his rules is that he will slide in and put Big Jerry next to your face, and take a picture of you with Big Jerry and put you on the wall.”

He joked: “Sometimes I get tired and I say, ‘Bring me Big Jerry!’”
Even Brad Pitt has fallen victim to Big Jerry’s curse – and was snapped with it close to his face on set.
To make matters even more insulting, the iconic film director took sneaky pictures of the offending sleepy worker and pinned them up on a board for everyone else to look at.
Uma confessed: “I attempted to kidnap this wall on several occasions… I believe the board went missing once or twice.”
But the pictures were eventually found and kept under “lock and key” for the rest of the project.
