Vanessa Feltz's ex Ben Ofoedu breaks silence after their heartbreaking split

Vanessa Feltz’s ex partner Ben Ofoedu has spoken out for the first time since the heartbreaking split from long term love Vanessa Feltz, after being together for 16 years.

The couple announced they were heading separate ways last week, with Vanessa revealing she’s “extremely sad and disappointed” at the break up.

Now Ben, 50, has broken his silence since splitting from Vanessa, 60.

Posting to his Instagram story, Ben simply shared a heartbroken emoji which appeared to be addressing the split.

Just two days earlier the musician shared a video of himself sitting on a train listening to Fleetwood Mac.

Sharing the post with his 45,000 followers, Ben captioned the video: “On the train vibez again [fire emojis] God bless if you’re reading this.”

The star turned off comments on the post, as he is yet to speak directly about the split.

Ben and Vanessa last appeared together on Ben’s Instagram feed over a month ago, where the couple appeared happy as they shared a box of red wine together.

Whilst Ben hasn’t opened up fully about the split, Vanessa revealed she’s “broken hearted” at the relationship breakdown.

Speaking on her own Instagram, the radio and TV presenter said: “Well I haven’t been on Instagram for three weeks and that’s because my relationship with Ben is over after 16 years.

“I honestly didn’t know what to say on Instagram but now it’s clear that it’s over and I really do feel that once the trust in a relationship is gone, you can’t really get it back.

“And so I just wanted to say that obviously I feel incredibly sad and I am pretty disappointed and shocked and all those horrible things but also full of resolve. I am not going to let this defeat me.”

She continued: “‘m so glad to be living longer than my mum did. She died at 57 and, if the Lord spares me, I’m going to be 61 next month. So, I’m very, very grateful to be alive and I want to carry on feeling that way and I want to celebrate.

“I want to find fun and laughter anywhere I can and I know it’s not going to be easy, but I’m absolutely determined to do it.”

An outpouring of support for Vanessa has come from friends including Holly Willoughby, Mrs Hinch and Myleene Klass as well as fans.
