The Tweenies became a late nineties kids’ TV phenomenon and had a total of 390 episodes.
Having first aired in 1999, it didn’t take long for young BBC viewers to become obsessed with all of the characters on the show.
But where are the stars that voiced them now? From a stellar TV career to sharing behind-the-scenes secrets of the show on TikTok, the cast are up to a variation of stuff these days.

So, let’s take a look…
Jake and Doodles – Justin Fletcher
Jake and Doodles were voiced by none other than CBeebies legend Justin Fletcher, better known as Mr Tumble.
Justin has had an incredible career in children’s TV and has earned an eye-popping net worth.
The 53-year-old’s “workaholic” attitude had resulted in him racking up a £1.5 million fortune, and having the longest-running CBeebies show, Something Special.
Though Justin was also embroiled in a feud with another CBeebies presenter Sarah-Jane Honeywell.
In 2020, she claimed former co-star Justin had “frozen her out” over her topless photoshoot.
Justin’s mum Shelia however denied the claims and said: “It’s all a load of old rubbish. He won’t be interested in talking about this.
“He never comments on anything silly. He’s too busy. He’s just so hard-working all the time.
“All the children love him. He’s worked very hard for them over many years.”
Justin also has a famous dad, record producer and singer-songwriter Guy Fletcher, who has written several hits for other major artists.
Milo and Max – Bob Golding
Bob Golding played two characters on the Tweenies and voiced both Milo and Max on the hit show.
More recently, Bob has been taking to TikTok to give fans an unexpected blast of the past as he delivers some behind-the-scenes gossip in Milo’s voice.
In the first viral clip, Bob said: “Hello! I was the voice of Milo in the Tweenies. We first went on telly in 1999. Oh wow, that was nearly 22 years ago! Fab-oh-roony!”
Bob has also racked up other voice credits for other TV shows such as Harry and Toto, Thunderbirds Are Go, Dennis and Gnasher, Numberjackss and as PC Plod in Noddy in Toyland.
He also appeared on-screen as himself in a handful of programmes which include Channel 5 soap opera Family Affairs, the Fun Song Factory on GMTV and in Peter Kay’s Pop Factor spoof.
Fizz and Izzles – Colleen Daley
Actress Colleen Daley voiced Fizz and has also joined in with her pal Bob for some of his TikTok reels.
She has also added some other shows to her roster such as BB3B and starred in the 2018 movie The Block.
Colleen also took on two roles on the show and was also responsible for Izzles the purple and white dog, who was introduced in the latter end of the show’s reign.
Talking about Izzles on Bob’s TikTok channel, Colleen stated: “She was a very excitable puppy whose favourite colour was purple.
“I seem to remember the original name of Izzles was Squiggles and I think we’d recorded about 10 episodes and had to go back and reinsert the name. I remember it being very funny.”
Bella – Sally Presig and Emma Weaver
Tweenies fans don’t often realise that there were two voices of Bella, with Sally Presig and Emma Weaver both playing the bossy character at points.
The original voice of Bella from series one was Sally, who also chatted with Bob about her time on the show on TikTok.
Looking back at her time spent with the cast, Sally said: “It was working with all you guys. I loved you all.”
Other credits Sally has include The Shiny Show, Fun Song Factory and The Muppet Christmas Carol.
Sally left in 2000, with Emma taking on the role for the final few series.
Emma went on to work on shows Jelly Jammies and Underground Ernie, and unsurprisingly also joined Bob during one of his TikToks videos.
