A woman whose “body is trapped in a kid’s body” has started seeing a Welshman after meeting him online.
Shauna Rae, 23, hasn’t grown past the height of an average eight-year-old since she was diagnosed with brain cancer when she was a child.
She thankfully overcame the disease but the treatment itself had a rather extreme side-effect – it stopped her growing at the speed a normal youngster her age would do.

But that hasn’t stopped her living life to the full and in the new season of her TLC series, I Am Shauna Rae, she revealed she has started dating Welsh sweetheart Dan.
“We talked for a couple months and he travelled so often so he doesn’t have service everywhere he goes,” she said.

“We got along and we have a lot of similarities in our lives.
Shauna said one thing that “piqued” her interest for Dan was that he travels a lot.
She recalled Dan sending him a note to her inbox and praising her work as “intelligent” and “powerful”.
“It made me feel good and I casually said ‘thank you’ like anyone would and he tried flirting from there and it got him here,” she detailed.
When Dan came to the US for visit, Shauna took him to an aquarium and an escape room along with her friend Rylee.

But Shauna saw a potential challenge if they were to get into a relationship.
“I haven’t actually really thought about if Dan and I were in a relationship and how that would look,” the reality star confessed.
“I assume that we would probably try long-distance, but I’ve been in a long-distance relationship and it’s not my cup of tea.
“So, either he would have to find a settle-down place or I would have to start travelling with him.”
Dan, 26, recently invited Shauna to go as a plus-one to his friend’s wedding in Malaysia in southeast Asia.
And Shauna’s parents approved, with her step-dad saying: “I think it would be really cool and she’d have a good time.
“I don’t think I’d be as concerned if Shauna went on a trip with Dan because she’s with Dan.”
