A former WWE champion once made a long forgotten appearance on Baywatch at the height of his career.
In 1996, Shawn Michaels was at the top of his game as the WWE Champion, but he managed to find time to make a guest appearance on one of the most popular shows at the time.
The fan favourite, known for his high-flying moves and charismatic personality, appeared in the seventh season in an episode called ‘Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner’, as a bodyguard for a mobster villain.

In the midst of his busy wrestling schedule, Michaels filled the role, which mainly saw him constantly foiled by the show’s regular characters.
Known for its attractive cast, beachside drama, and action-packed rescues, the hit TV series aired from 1989 to 2001, following the lives of a group of lifeguards who patrolled the beaches of Los Angeles.
It starred the likes of David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson.
Michaels was known as The Heart Break Kid and his edgy persona and sensational reputation at the time seemed to be the perfect fit for a show like Baywatch.

While in most of the episode he didn’t play much of a significant role, he did have a fight scene with one of the show leads, David Chokachi, who played the role of Cody.
However, despite being regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, it was Cody who got the upper hand and thrashed Shawn’s character in the show.
He even went so far as to pull off a double-leg takedown on Shawn before putting him in a headlock.
Back in the ring Michaels wrestled consistently for WWE, formerly the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, renamed in 2002), until his first retirement in 1998.
He performed in non-wrestling roles for the next two years, resuming his wrestling career with WWE in 2002 until ceremoniously retiring in 2010
