Zoey 101 launched the career of Jamie Lynn Spears and some other famous faces who are now prevalent in the Hollywood industry.
The series followed teenager Zoey as she attempted to settle into her boarding school in Miami and her trials and tribulations along the way.
Zoey and her co-stars got up to all kinds of mischief and the heartwarming series shows the pals navigating love, friendship and other teenage problems.

Now the cast are all grown up, Spears’ former colleagues have moved on from the show and now have lives and established careers of their own.
Keep reading to check out what some of the Zoey 101 cast are up to now.
Jamie Lynn Spears
Sporty Zoey’s trademark was her dorm key necklace, which she wore round her neck to stop her from losing it.
Throughout the series fans grew to love the lead character and tuned in to follow her on her next crazy endeavour.
However, actress Jamie Lynn fell pregnant at just 15, which caused many to blame her pregnancy as the reason Zoey 101 was taken off air.
Spears previously spoke out about the move on a now-deleted Instagram post and cleared up any doubts.
She told fans that the show ended because “her contract was finished,” not because of her pregnancy.
A year later, Jamie Lynn also spoke to Nylon about her pregnancy and admitted she “didn’t become pregnant until probably six months after they wrapped filming”.
Spears later followed in her sister Britney’s footsteps and tried her hand at a country music career, eventually dropping an EP in 2014.
She even collaborated with Brit on her song Chillin’ With You but has since turned her passion back toward acting.
Jamie Lynn is currently on Netflix’s Sweet Magnolias and will be starring in the upcoming Zoey 101 film.
The movie, titled Zoey 102, will see the star and her friends reunite for a wedding.
Joining her will be Quinn, Chase, Logan, Michael, Stacey and Mark.
Victoria Justice
Lola Martinez had big dreams and an even bigger personality.
The character was actress Victoria Justice’s first big break which helped sky rocket her to stardom.
She eventually landed her own Nickelodeon show Victorious, which starred pop sensation Ariana Grande, and has previously appeared on iCarly, True Jackson, VP and Eye Candy.
It was reported that Justice and Grande had a lot of beef between each other while filming and Victoria put the rumours to bed in 2015.
She told Entertainment Tonight: “I think we’re kind of both on our own separate paths right now. I’ve been more focused on acting and she’s doing her singing thing and doing awesome.”
Victoria has also starred in Netflix’s To All The Boys I Loved Before and A Perfect Pairing.
Kristin Herrera
Kristin played Dana Cruz, Zoey’s skateboard riding, tomboy best pal cross roommate.
Sadly, she only appeared in the show’s first season and it was rumoured that she was replaced by Victoria Justice.
Speculation began to fly that the producers thought she looked too old compared to her co-stars so the future Victorious star was brought in to take her place.
Since her Nickelodeon days, she has starred in Without a Trace and landed two movie roles – Freedom Writers and Resurrection Mary.
She is perhaps best known for her role in America soap opera General Hospital after she appeared in 15 episodes from 2000 to 2008.
Kristin currently has no upcoming roles that the public is aware of.
Herrera is now married and gave birth to her son Christopher in May 2022.
Erin Sanders
Sanders played Quinn Penksy, who had a love of science and began secretly dating her arch nemesis Logan throughout the series.
After the show ended, she starred in Big Time Rush and went on to land other TV roles.
Erin guest starred on Mad Men, Castle and CSI: Miami before she landed some other huge roles.
She played Traci Scott in Guilty at 17 and has been in the series Six Degrees of Separation.
The Zoey 101 star likes to keep her personal life out of the spotlight and has turned her passion toward health and wellness.
She teaches yoga classes via livestreams and loves to update her Instagram profile with stunning snaps.
Austin Butler
Austin’s character James Garrett joined the Nickelodeon series during the show’s final season.
James played Zoey’s love interest and the pair briefly dated throughout the show, but they eventually parted ways.
Their emotional break up aired during Zoey 101’s season finale – an iconic and memorable moment for all those noughties kids out there.
After his stint on the show, Austin starred in Ruby and the Rockits, Life Unexpected, Switched at Birth and most famously The Carrie Diaries.
The Sex and the City prequel followed a young Carrie as she followed her dreams to become a famous writer.
He also starred in Arrow, CSI: NY, The Dead Don’t Die and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Nowadays, Austin has switched the television screen for the silver screen after a recent Hollywood blockbuster success.
The young actor won huge praise for his recent performance as the lead in Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis.
For his starring role, Butler won a Golden Globe and was nominated for both a Critic’s Choice Award and a SAG Award.
His accent famously changed due to the vocal coaching he received for his Elvis role and now lives with a voice that is much deeper than normal.
Butler also dated former Disney Channel icon Vanessa Hudgens for four years and is currently dating model Kaia Gerber, Cindy Crawford’s daughter.
