A Place In The Sun ‘s Danni Menzies almost suffered a red faced accident after one guest dropped an utter bombshell.
The blonde TV star shot to fame on the fan-favourite Channel 4 programme back in 2016, where she took up a hosting role for six years. However, by 2022 she decided living out of a bag and continuously jetting off was weighing heavy on her relationships.
It was at this point that she decided to bid farewell to her career on the property finding show in the sun, this in hope of exploring brand new endeavours. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Daily Star Danni has lifted the lid on some of the wildest moments she experienced while working on the programme.

Recalling one particular odd encounter with one particular guest, Danni explained that she’d “almost wet herself” after he’d revealed a bizarre hobby. A particular interest that would indeed sway on property location too.

Casting her mind back to the hilarious moment, she told us: “We had one guy, a very nice couple – I think I’m going back to see them soon.
“I almost wet myself when he told me what his hobbies were. He liked watching bats.” Danni went on to add: “So I asked him ‘Why do you like this area?’

His reply left Danni dumfounded as he revealed: “Because there’s lots of bat caves”. The TV star went on to tell him, “wow, that’s niche”.
But that wasn’t the old weird and wonderful thing she’s stumbled across during her year period with the travel show. Danni explained: “You definitely get random things, I went into this property once and they’d left a doll in the bed. “

Danni added: “I got the fright of my life. There’s always little things like that that do go on but nothing terribly shocking.”
Meanwhile, Danni left everyone stunned when she announced that she was stepping down from her role on A Place In The Sun. Danni had been struggling to hold down a relationship and felt by leaving she’d be able to do that.
The presenter explained: “I think the reality is I worked on the programme for six years and when you’re travelling that much and living out of a suitcase, you know two weeks in London and three weeks in another location, when life is like that it’s hard to date and do normal things and establish relationships.
“I found it very hard to do that while I was travelling and you know I was 34 at the time and I kind of wanted those things in my life so I did feel like I needed to change things up a little bit,” she said.
Having walked away from TV for now, she instead gearing up to make a number of appearances at the Ideal Home Show in Kensington Olympia from March 22 until April 6. She will delight fans on stage sharing some moments from her time on the Channel 4 show.
