Henry recalled the embarrassing incident

Henry explained: “A girl had to be on top of me, she had spectacular breasts, and I hadn’t rearranged my… stuff into a harmless position.

She’s basically rubbing herself all over me and, um, it got a bit hard.” He added: “I had to apologise profusely afterward. It’s not great when you’re in a professional acting environment and somebody gets a b*ner, is it? No, not acceptable.”

Henry then noted how sex scenes are “acutely uncomfortable” and “not actually sexy” He said: “The actual physicality is very uncomfortable. All you’re doing is smacking your nuts against someone, and nothing is going in.”

In an emotional Instagram post, he said: “I have just had a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran and it’s sad news, everyone. I will, after all, not be returning as Superman. After being told by the studio to announce my return back in October, prior to their hire, this news isn’t the easiest, but that’s life.”

He continued: “The changing of the guard is something that happens. I respect that. James and Peter have a universe to build.”

Henry then wished the producers the best of luck. He told fans they could “mourn for a bit” about his departure, but remember that “Superman is still around”. “Everything he stands for still exists,” he said. “And the examples he sets for us are still there! My turn to wear the cape has passed, but what Superman stands for never will.”
