Amanda Holden says ‘husband would leave’ her after revealing £50k problem

Amanda Holden has opened up about the potential for household drama over splurging £50,000.

While standing in for Jamie Theakston, Heart Radio’s JK quizzed listeners on how they’d splash a cool tax-free fifty grand as part of their “big-money game” Heart Show Me The Money.

BGT’s darling Amanda confessed she’s keen to spread the love with a hefty charity contribution, particularly to help out furry friends in need after revealing a heart-tugging visit to Battersea Dogs and Cats home where she serves as an ambassador.

She divulged her experience to JK: “Yesterday I was at Battersea Dogs and Cats home, I’m an ambassador for them and I have been for years and years.”

Sharing a distressing stat, she continued: “Very sadly, my friend Jamie, who works down there, told me that they’ve got 500 cats on a waiting list at the moment to come in because there’s been so many abandonements.”

Amanda’s proposed act of kindness? “So I feel like I’d make a huge donation to anyone who’s looking after animals who are struggling or suffering at the moment. I don’t mean to sound like I’m an angel but it just really struck me.”

Earlier this year, the star herself welcomed a new bunny into her brood, announcing it with an adorable Instagram video of the bouncy newcomer. Alongside being a celebrity animal advocate, Amanda’s home is already a mini-menagerie, with Rudie the rescue dog and Muffy the cat.

Amanda added: “I think it’s the cost of living, it’s just people taking on more than they can manage. I would probably have them all, in my back garden and then my husband would leave me.”

Amanda’s marital bliss with hubbie Chris Hughes is still going strong after over a decade since their 2008 wedding bells. Their happy home is filled with love for their two girls, Lexi and Hollie.
