Amanda Owen has spoken out for the first time in months after her son landed a new TV show.
The Yorkshire Shepherdess’ son Reuben is back on screens for his very own solo show, Reuben: Life in the Dales. Reuben shot to fame with mum Amanda, dad Clive and his eight siblings on the Channel 5 show Our Yorkshire Farm in 2018.
The series introduced viewers to the Owen clan, and followed the family on their sprawling 2000-acre farm, Ravenseat Farm. But in 2022, the show was ‘axed’ by Channel 5 – leaving fans gutted.

And in another blow to fans, Amanda and Clive then confirmed their separation after 22 years. It was then reported that the pair had ended things after Amanda’s affair came to light.

However, this week Reuben Owen’s new show kicked off – much to the delight of fans. The programme follows Reuben, his girlfriend Sarah and pal Tommy, and the shenanigans they get up to across Yorkshire’s farmland.
But notably missing from the cast is mum Amanda. What’s more, the TV star has recently been keeping a low profile online. Her last post she shared was at the beginning of March.

But on Sunday (April 28) she broke her social media silence to share her thoughts on son Reuben’s new TV gig. Alongside a sweet snap of the pair posing, she wrote in the caption: “So proud of big lad @reubenowen74. He’s a star.” .”
Fans were quick to share their thoughts in the comments section. One person said: “Agree with you 100 percent Amanda he is a star. He’s grown into an amazing young man and I really enjoyed the new show. Still hoping to see you all back on screen together one day.”

Someone else added: “Well done Ruben we have a son just full of enthusiasm like you and you set a high bar.” A third penned: “Loving his own programme. Where has that time gone, watching him as boy on the farm, now a man with his own business. He’s a hard worker, best of luck to him.”.”
Reuben’s famous parents Amanda and Clive called time on their relationship when her five-year affair to website designer Robert Davies was exposed. The fling brought an end to the farming pair’s 22-year long marriage.

Robert’s wife Yasumi was the one to blow the lid on the affair, after she discovered a note Amanda seemingly left a note to her secret beau in a bag. The note read: “Robert, life is too short & happiness is too rare; I love you,” leaving her distraught.
Yasumi confronted her husband, whose eldest child is the same age as Amanda, and he ended up confessing to everything. Since the affair was exposed, Robert and Amanda continue to see each other.
