Laila Rouass has been pictured for the first time since reportedly raising concerns about Strictly judge Anton Du Beke.
The actress, who is also the wife of snooker legend Ronnie O’Sullivan, was all smiles on Tuesday (July 23) as she was papped on a walk with friends in Essex. It seemed she was in high spirits despite the ongoing Strictly scandal surrounding complaints about the show’s professionals.
Anton, 58, has become one of the latest Strictly stars to be dragged into the BBC’s ongoing complaints saga following his past misconduct. It’s said actress Laila has named Anton to lawyers Carter Ruck after being paired with him on the 2009 series of the BBC show.

It’s believed the alleged complaint focuses on a comment Anton made to her in 2009. He said she looked like “a P*ki” following a spray tan session.
Anton has apologised for the inappropriate remark and Footballers’ Wives star Laila publically accepted his apology. The Strictly judge said at the time: “I must say immediately and categorically that I am not a racist and that I do not use racist language.
During the course of rehearsals Laila and I have exchanged a great deal of banter entirely in jest, and two weeks ago there was an occasion when this term was used between the two of us.”
“There was no racist intent whatsoever but I accept that it is a term which causes offence and I regret my use of it, which was done without thought or consideration of how others would react. I apologise unreservedly for any offence my actions might have caused.”
Rouass, who’s got Indian and Moroccan heritage, responded by saying. “It was a situation which happened that we have moved on from and I accept his apology.”
The actress looked stylish wearing cropped jeans, sandals, designer sunglasses and a black blazer. She joined her dogs for a stroll in the sunshine to make the most of the warm weather.
The BBC is currently undergoing an investigation following alleged complaints against axed star Giovanni Pernice. He has denied claims of ‘bullying’ or ‘abusive’ behaviour towards his former show partner Amanda Abbington.
Graziano Di Prima, another pro who has left the programme, has apologised after it emerged he kicked Zara McDermott on the show last year. The Love Island star said she found the incidents “incredibly distressing” to watch back.
Graziano’s representative admitted he made a mistake by kicking Zara and that Di Prima had apologised for the incident. “There is never a time when kicking, or any sense of that is right,” Mr Borkowski told BBC News. “And he knows that.”
