Axed Dancing on Ice star speaks out after being left ‘homeless’ weeks after ITV show exit

Dancing on Ice pro Colin Grafton has shared an update after he was kicked out of his rented accommodation.

The ice dancer was skating with Coronation Street’s Claire Sweeney until they got the boot from the ITV competition last month. And at the weekend, Colin, who comes from the USA, issued a plea to fans after being forced to leave his accommodation.

He had been told to pack up and leave his rented pad because of some safety worries. He soon went over to X, formerly known as Twitter, to issue a plea to fans.

His message was: “Hello @Airbnb_uk I sincerely need your help. I have been asked to vacate my current airbnb rental on a ‘safety concern’, but am not getting any help on what to do next. I am currently in the midst of #DancingOnIce and now have nowhere to stay. Please help.”

Colin’s post was met with concern from fans who rallied around the TV star. Responding to his post, an Airbnb support account also noticed his plea and said: “Hi Colin, we would like to take a closer look.

“Please DM us your email address associated with your Airbnb account together with the details of your concern. We’ll be here to support you further.”

Now, days after and Colin has issued an update on the situation. Taking to his X account, he shared a video of what appeared to be his new accommodation.

In the caption, he wrote: “Update: No longer ‘homeless’. Thank you @Airbnb_uk for sorting me out in the end.” Fans quickly sent well wishes to the skater.

One person penned: “Looks very nice!” Another said: “Aww I bet that’s a relief and hope you’ve had a lovely evening.” A third gushed: “Good to hear.”

She was one of the twelve stars trying to win the sixteenth season of Dancing On Ice on ITV. On This Morning, Claire stated her skating partner didn’t let her have a loo break while they practiced on the ice.

She shared: “He’s very patient Colin. He is lovely and so patient and kind. He is relentless though. He doesn’t give me a minute. Even when I want to shoot to the toilet he’s looking at me going ‘You’re lying.’ And I am a bit, but…
