BBC Breakfast journalist Ben Boulos has been branded “hot” by his fans after sharing a series of snaps during his month away from the morning show.
The 39-year-old is spending his time off travelling across America, and recently shared several shots from his time in New York. Ben has taken in Broadway, Times Square and Brooklyn Bridge in the Big Apple, but it was a photo of a night out that caused a particular stir.
The reporter, born Ben Bland in 1984, appeared in a black lace shirt alongside a pal prompting a number of his 12,000 Instagram followers to react gush over his handsome looks. After captioning his post: “New York, New York!” one user commented: “Oh my, is that a lace shirt in pic six?” followed by a flame emoji.

Another wrote in response: “You look amazing in the picture with the man in pink who is wearing a fab necklace. Really want to go to NY looks amazing. You really look like you are having a good time.”

A third added: “Lovely pics lovely you, honestly I opened my Insta now your pics popped up I was surprised I couldn’t believe for a sec, lovely surprise.” And a fourth said: “Come home soon we miss your winning smile glad you have had a wonderful time though.”
Ben later visited Washington DC where he shared another update at the end of his adventure as he prepared to return to the Beeb. “This is a rather poignant end to my holiday and trip to the United States,” he began. “I’m in Washington DC where I first visited 20 years ago exactly. I didn’t particularly seek this landmark out – it’s perhaps not one that anyone would pay any interest to.”

He continued: “But for me it’s really rather special because this accommodation block – part of the George Washington University – is where I spent a summer living back in 2004 with about 10 others who were working as interns in Congress. I just happened to be walking past and its taken me back to a summer that was absolutely incredible. Its been a great holiday – before DC there was New Orleans and New York – but I’m really looking forward to coming home.”
Ben previously opened up on the reasoning behind his name change, revealing he wanted to reflect his Jewish heritage after his ancestors changed their surname from Boulos to the most overtly English one they could think of after fleeing Russia and Lithuania for Britain – Bland.

He made the decision during the coronavirus lockdown, and later explained in an interview: “Thinking about your name and your identity is the kind of thing you put off because life is too busy, it’s never a good time, everyone else is busy. When is the right time to strike up a conversation with your parents about your idea of changing your surname?”
He went on to add, however, that he had received an “overwhelming and overwhelmingly positive” reaction from fans and those with similarly mixed heritage.
