Naga Munchetty was missing from BBC Breakfast on Thursday (January 25) and replaced by a co-star.
She normally hosts BBC Breakfast from Thursday to Saturday every week with her co-star and pal Charlie Stayt. Fans have grown used to seeing the pair banter back and fourth on the red sofa while discussing the latest news stories.
However, a shake-up saw Nina Warhurst step in to host the show with Charlie instead. At the time of writing, it’s unclear why Naga was unable to anchor the programme, which is broadcast from Salford’s Media City studio.

Nina recently returned to work after a seven-month absence as she gave birth to her third child . The business presenter welcomed her little girl Nancy, whose arrival was announced last July.
She admitted she was missing her daughter already when she returned to BBC Breakfast earlier this month, but she was glad to see her colleagues. “I’ve missed the gang,” she told hosts Jon Kay and Sarah Campbell.
“I’m missing the baby this morning, very much but it’s lovely to be back, best job in the world. And best baby in the world! I know everyone thinks their baby is the best one, but sorry guys, mine actually is.”
Nina shares Nancy with her husband Ted, whom she married in 2014. The couple also share their sons Michael, born in 2018, and Digby, born in 2016.
Updating fans after Nancy’s arrival last year, Nina wrote: “Thank you for the messages! We are all well and loved up (aside from the standard sleep deprivation/bits & bobs falling off). A second delivery @MFT_SaintMarys @MFTnhs – and words can’t describe how safe and supported the midwives & wider team made us feel. Thank you.

Announcing her pregnancy with a baby bump snap, she commented: “Happy Mother’s Day to all of those who are any part of this endless handover of love, values, genes, chaos and perpetually crumb-infested kitchens. I’d like to say ‘you got this Mama!’ But maybe you haven’t. I dunno. It’s hard isn’t it?
“It’s been a funky few months… involving intense migraines, vomiting, morning kebabs, first time acne, small acts of violence against fruit, afternoon kebabs, tears, spontaneous snoozes, anxiety and more kebabs.”
