BBC Breakfast host Naga Munchetty got a telling-off after she “spoiled a surprise” on-air.
The TV favourite was back on screens on Saturday (April 20) for another instalment of the morning show. Along with Charlie Stayt, the pair were on hand to deliver the latest news.
But things took an awkward turn when Naga checked in with Matt Tebbutt, to see what he had coming up on his show, Saturday Kitchen Live. Naga said: “Matt takes over in Saturday Kitchen at 10.”

She added: “It’s one of my favourite moments because it starts getting me hungry.” From his studio, TV chef and presenter Matt said: “Is this one of your favourite moments?”
Naga replied: “Yeah, but it’s not yours though is it?” Matt defiantly said back: “Oh 100% I love it. I never know what’s coming next! Bit of a free for all.
Laughing, BBC Breakfast host Naga then added: “I’m very excited about your guest. I’ve been looking at his back catalogue, and one of my favourite films is Con Air.”
Naga was referring to Danny Trejo who was appearing on Saturday Kitchen Live with Matt. But it seems Naga faced a bit of a gaffe as she let slip Danny’s appearance – which was a “surprise.”
Matt told her: “Mine too!” He then added: “Hey, that was a surprise, but thanks for spoiling it!” Naga fired back from the BBC Breakfast studio: “Anytime.”
It comes after Naga and Charlie were left confused by a Morning Live prop on Friday morning (April 19). The duo were speaking to Sara Cox and Gethin Jones to preview their show – which airs directly afterwards – when the unusual item caused a stir.
After Sara and Gethin told BBC viewers what they can expect to see later in the morning, Charlie asked: “Is that a teapot, that little thing there in the middle of the flowers there? I was thinking is that a tiny teapot?”
