Nina Warhurst had the perfect response after a troll criticised her hair not long after she’d returned to BBC Breakfast from maternity leave.
The BBC Breakfast host has been off after having her baby daughter Nance in July and only headed back to the red sofa last week. But she had barely settled back in on the BBC programme before a viewer had a pop at her appearance.
The viewer insisted there was “no offence intended” as they wrote on X: “Nina, I wish you would do something with your hair, fluff it up it looks like it’s been plastered down.”

However, the barb clearly didn’t land, with Nina shutting down the person straightaway. Sharing their message on X, she wrote: “Ahhhhh it’s good to be back!” The TV star added a sunglasses face emoji to her funny post to show how lightly she was taking the comment.
Fans were quick to support the TV star, questioning why anyone should feel the need to comment on the way she looks. “Take no bloody notice Nina you look great to me, clearly the person who tweeted is of supermodel quality,” quipped one person.
“Big sigh………. Why on Earth does anyone feel they should write s*** like this – Nina it’s fab to see you back,” said another fan. Someone else wrote: “How very rude! Good to see you back.”
“I was just thinking how utterly gorgeous you look Nina,” another viewer posted. “I presume some people have nothing better to do with their time but find things to criticise. I’d say if you’ve nothing nice to say keep quiet eh?”
Somebody else called the hair remark an “absolutely stupid comment”. “Why do people think they have the right to be horrible???” stormed another annoyed viewer. “It infuriates me,” they added.
“Nina do these people comment on the male presenters’ hair,” asked one viewer, adding: “You look fabulous darling by the way.”
Nina, 43, is also mum to two sons with her husband Ted. Named Digby and Michael, they were born in 2018 and 2016.
