Britain’s Got Talent viewers have branded Bobby Goldfinn their unexpected winner despite not officially making it to the semi-finals.
The hit ITV show was back for another instalment on Thursday night (May 30), with contestants fighting it out for their place in the grand final. But just as the show kicked off, viewers were met with a surprise, as Bobby Goldfinn made another appearance.
Comedy act Bobby, who wears a distinctive goldfish mask, attempted to tell jokes to judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli. However, just like his previous attempts, Bobby’s memory failed him and he ended up repeating the words, “Hi, I’m Bobby Golfdfinn”.

As Bobby took the stage on Thursday, he was met with a sea of boos, as the studio audience clearly had enough of his repetitive act. Presenters Ant and Dec were then forced to usher Bobby off the platform.
But despite the chaos, fans at home didn’t mind if Bobby won the entire series, even though he’s no longer in the running. Heading over to X, formerly known as Twitter, fans shared their thought on the goldfish act.
One social media user wrote: “I actually think that if Bobby Goldfinn was on the show tonight he would have got through.” Another chimed: “Guys do you think if we ask nicely enough we can get Bobby as a candidate for voting.”
A third said: “I would like Bobby Goldfin to win please.” While a fourth added: “BOBBY GOLDFINN YOU ARE MY WINNER.”
Meanwhile, some viewers have been trying to find out who is behind Bobby Goldfinn’s mask as one person said: “I think Bobby the Goldfish is someone who previously appeared on the show.” Another person also wrote: “UNMASK BOBBY GOLDFINN.”
And another added: “Seriously who is Bobby Goldfinn? Has to be someone famous under there surely.”
Last week, we revealed that AI predicted that Bobby Goldfinn could be a member of staff who works on BGT. AI said: “While less likely, there’s a slight chance the masked persona could be a crew member. Or a judge, or someone involved with the show’s production taking on a comedic challenge.”
