BGT Simon Cowell’s three-word-response to star’s awkward live blunder seconds into act

A Britain’s Got Talent act suffered a slight blunder seconds into their performance – and Simon Cowell was quick to react.

The ITV show was back on screens on Tuesday (May 28) for the second live semi-final. Acts like Dance group Blitzers and Magician Jack Rhodes all battled it out for a place in the epic final.

But when it came to Matteo Fraziano’s performance – things took an awkward turn just seconds in. The shadow artist and illusionist appeared to struggle to get his torch set up properly.

Ever the professional, he managed to quickly sort it out and continue with his performance. The judges then gave him a round of applause before he started his act.

The shadow artist was hoping to bag a spot in the final

He ended up putting on a fantastic performance, and even recruited co-host included Dec Donnelly. Showing off his puppet skills, Matteo had the audience and judges cheering along.

But eagle-eyed fans were quick to pick up on the awkward moment. Over on X, one person said: “oops technical issue lol.” Someone else added: “He couldn’t get the light to stand still..” A third chimed in and said: “Can’t even set up a torch, this is going well.”

“I think I like shadow puppets now. Loved all the stuff you did with Dec as well.” Receiving feedback from the judges, Simon praised Matteo for carrying on, telling him “good for you!”

However, Alesha Dixon was not that impressed with the performance. She admitted that it didn’t set her on fire like his first audition had done.
