Faryl Smith looks completely different 16 years after wowing the Britain’s Got Talent judges.
The singer took to the stage during the second series of the ITV talent competition back in 2008 when she was just 12 years old and wowed Piers Morgan, Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell with her operatic voice.
She received three years from the judges a standing ovation from the audience after her impressive audition performance as she belted out Ave Maria.

Faryl made it all the way to the final of the show but was pipped to the post by dancer George Sampson to the winning spot. After appearing on BGT, she decided not sign with music mogul Simon’s record label Syco, instead joining rivals Universal Classics and Jazz.
According to The Sun, she was offered a £2.3million deal in December 2008, the largest ever offer granted to a schoolgirl, ahead of her debut album. She released the record, named after her, in March 2009 and it became the fastest-selling classical album in UK history, debuting at number six in the charts.
The album saw Faryl nominated for two classical BRIT Awards in 2010. She followed up with a second album, Wonderland, in the same year, before going on to study at Guildhall School of Music. After finishing her studies, Faryl went on to perform at a number of major sporting events, including the Six Nations in 2019.
Faryl looks all grown up now compared to her fresh-faced appearance in 2008 but still sports her long brunette tresses. Her Instagram shows the grown-up star happily in a relationship with her beau Sam, who she often shares selfies with. She also revealed how she graduated from Guildhall School of Music and Dance in 2022 before going on to perform in their opera.
