Bradley Walsh swears at Ant and Dec and storms stage as pair bag 23rd NTAs win

Bradley Walsh swore at Ant and Dec when they won again at the National Television Awards.

The Chase host had some choice words for the beloved Geordie duo at the NTAs on Wednesday night (September 11). They had just scooped up the Best Presenter gong for the 23rd consecutive year, and Bradley clearly wanted to show viewers that he’d just about had enough.

Bradley had also been nominated in the category, so he jokingly decided to take revenge on the I’m A Celeb hosts by trying to drag the pair off stage. While doing so, he cried: “Taking the p**s!”, but of course it was all in jest.

As they accepted the award on stage, Dec said: “Thank you. It’s really hard to put into words just how this feels and what it means to us that you take the time to vote for us.”

Ant said the award was a “joy” and that one day they won’t collect it, but tonight wasn’t that night. He said: “What can we say? Thank you so much. It’s really, really hard to put into words just how this feels year after year and how much it means to us that you take the time to vote for us and make us your winners.”

“Honestly, it’s a joy, we know we’re not gonna win it one year but it’s not tonight, thank God.. But thank you to everybody who works with us on our shows, we love you, we wouldn’t be here without you guys.”

Dec added: “It used to be we’d be going out partying and now we’re going back to dirty nappies and the school run tomorrow. My girl Isla is six now, she left for school this morning and said ‘Good luck, I hope you win the trophy’.”

He then joked: “In fact, she said, ‘Take my lip balm, I think it’ll be good luck’.” Isla, it worked! We won!”. Declan shares daughter Isla with his wife Ali Astall, and their son Jack whom they welcomed in 2022.

Their first Best presenter win was back in 2001

Ant and Dec have won the Best Presenter award every year since 2001. And their 23rd wasn’t the only gong they won on Wednesday, because I’m A Celeb won The Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award.
