One of Britain’s most recognisable singers has confirmed she will play her final ever gig at Glastonbury.
Scottish songstress Lulu is looking to bow out of her musical career with a Boom Bang-a-Bang as she recently finished her farewell tour in London. But despite wrapping up the final tour in the capital on Wednesday (April 10), she now has opted to end her musical career with a bit more pizzazz.
According to the Scottish Sun that Lulu would be headed to Worthy Farm in Somerset to give fans one last chance to see her before she called time on her career. She is now a late addition to the line-up, which features legendary artists including Coldplay, Dua Lipa and Shania Twain.

Lulu, who won Eurovision in 1969, finishes her tour at London’s iconic palladium theatre on Wednesday, but according to sources, the singer is still set to announce one more date for June this year. But this is not the first time that Lulu will have played the festival, having taken to the stage some nine years ago.
An insider close to the singer said: “Lulu is going to be announced as a performer at Glastonbury next week. It’s a massive deal for her and she can’t wait to play the Avalon stage.”
The source revealed that Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis had reached out to the singer for a final opportunity to bow out. They added that Lulu “couldn’t turn it down” and immediately jumped at the chance to play the iconic festival.
“It will be an emotional moment for her as it’s the last time she will ever play Glastonbury,” the insider added. “It was magical for her when she last played on that same stage in 2015.”
The Shout singer admitted that her set at the festival was one of the best gigs she ever played at, adding that the noise coming from the crowd at Worthy Farm was “deafening”. She added: “I was very surprised, as I didn’t really know what to expect; it was just fantastic and I had so much fun.”
After her stint on the stage, Lulu revealed her daughter Alana caught a snap of the singer having a laugh with son Jordan backstage. Alana even went as far as to make her mum a mug with the photo on it, together with the caption, “My mother just rocked Glasto” – something that she still drinks from to this day.
