Demi Moore has paid a glowing tribute to her ex-husband Bruce Willis to mark his 69th birthday on Tuesday (March 19).
The Hollywood pair married in 1987 and had three daughters together – Rumer, Scout and Tallulah – before going their separate ways in 2000. Despite their split, Demi remains close to Die Hard star Bruce and his second wife Emma Hemming-Willis, who is caring for him in his battle with frontotemporal dementia.
Demi, 61, took to Instagram to share a series of snaps including a throwback of Bruce posing with his daughters when they were children. The G. I. Jane star also posted a couple of shots from the present day, showing her ex playing with one of their granddaughters and one of her chatting with him on the sofa.

Demi captioned her photos: “Happy birthday, BW! We love you and are so grateful for you.”
Actress Demi also took to her story on the social media platform to share a sweet video with her five million followers. In another throwback, seemingly filmed by Rumer who is heard laughing in the background, Bruce is seen counting down before dancing playfully with his then-wife.
“Come on! Pick it up! Take it down the hall,” he then says to Demi, as she dances down the hall. Demi captioned the clip: “This is you in all your silliness and your glory and I love it.”
Current wife Emma, meanwhile, also celebrated the occasion on Instagram in her own gushing post. “Just like you, we simply adore him,” she wrote. “What you might not know, but maybe you could imagine, that being wrapped in his arms is the safest place in this whole wide world.”
She continued: “He’s a true gentle-man. With so much love to give and share. That’s what I get to see, his true core. I can tell you, it’s so pure and ever so good. Happy Birthday my love. You are the gift that keeps giving.”
Emma married to Bruce in 2009 and share two daughters – Mabel, 11, and Evelyn, nine. Her post included a snap of Bruce holding one of their children, to which Tallulah responded: “I love you so much. I love him so much! Our Pisces king!”
Earlier this month Emma slammed headlines claiming “there is no more joy” in Bruce. She penned: “That is far from the truth. I need society, and whoever’s writing these stupid headlines, to stop scaring people. Stop scaring people to think that once they get a diagnosis of some kind of neurocognitive disease that that’s it, it’s over, let’s pack it up, nothing else to see here, we’re done. No. It is the complete opposite of that.”
