Celebrity Big Brother’s axed star Levi Roots has shared the warning he dished out to Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu following their dramatic exit.
The famous TV chef became the third famous face to leave the show last week, followed by Ekin-Su. However, on Friday night (March 15) Ekin was met with criticism following her controversial exit interview.
During the awkward moment on the spin-off series Late and Live, Layton Williams criticised Ekin-Su. He called her out for putting the blame on ‘editing’ over what transpired in the house with Marisha Wallace before the eviction.

And on Monday (March 18) Love Island star Ekin-Su was due to appear on ITV’s Lorraine to talk about her time on the show. However, she pulled out at the last minute.
Now, speaking to Daily Star and other press fresh from his CBB exit, Levi has spoken out about his experience with Ekin. And the Dragons Den legend even recalled the warning he gave to Ekin following their boot from the show.
“I took Ekin-Su under my wing, I told her she was like a daughter to me,” Levi said about his time on the show with her. He added: “I had to protect her in certain ways by having certain conversations with her so she didn’t feel alone, because she felt like she was isolated in some kind of way.”
Levi then recalled how he was judging Ekin-Su solely on her time on the show and not from her past TV show experiences. He said: “You know people saying she spent a month in a bikini and all that kind of stuff and Love Island. And that means nothing to me at all and I felt it was a little bit unfair people were doing that to her”.
When asked if he felt it was fair Ekin said she was suspicious of the ‘edit’, he replied: “Only she would know. I never saw Love Island, I never knew Ekin before, so I don’t know how they could have shown her in any other way.”
He then went on to reveal the “words of wisdom” he gave to Ekin after they left the show last week. He said: “For me, I just wanted to protect her you know.
“And still, when we came out I was telling her that ‘it was going to be fine. Just be you!”
Suggesting she might need to change her ways, Levi added: “Or be a new you.” He explained: “Because it seems the old one didn’t work based on what people were saying.
“As well as the reaction when she came out. So I wanted to give her words of wisdom and try to make into a better person.”
On Thursday night (March 14) Marisha’s decision to nominate the Love Island celebrity Ekin-Su incited anger. Marisha justified her decision by saying, “I know if I get to the final, I can’t beat you. I know that if you get to the final with me, you will win the public vote,”.
She further explained: “I know that if we go head-to-head, you have a huge following, you played these games before you know how to win and if I want to win this, if I ever had the chance, I wouldn’t have the chance against you.”
Ekin-Su’s Big Brother journey ended on Friday night and the Turkish actress joined Late and Live to recap her experience, during which time host AJ Odudu suggested that the US contestants have a focus on ‘strategy’ when it comes to game shows.
Layton interjected to support Marisha, stating “She had to pick someone just like you picked Louis. Louis squashed it and kind of kept it moving and unfortunately, you dragged it on.”
“You haven’t seen everything, they cut stuff out,” Ekin-Su defended. To which Layton fired back: “You’re not going to blame it on the edit. One thing you’re not going to do is blame it on the edit. We see what we see and it’s a shame.”
