Celebrity Big Brother fans fume ‘it feels wrong’ as Corrie Craig star drops bombshell

Celebrity Big Brother fans were floored as Colson Smith dropped a bombshell.

The Coronation Street star, 25, best known for playing Craig Tinker on the ITV soap, joined the star-studded line-up as he entered the CBB house during Monday’s (March 4) launch. But he suffered a slip-up prior when he struggled to open a set of doors.

The actor blurted out “oh f***” just before he came face to face with his housemates. Fans immediately took to X, formerly Twitter, to voice their shock over the Corrie star swearing on national TV.

“CRAIG DROPPING A F*** WITHIN SECONDS #CBBUK,” exclaimed one viewer. Another penned: “It feels very wrong to hear Craig swear. #CBBUK.”

A third agreed: “NOT PC TINKER SAYING F*** #CBBUK.” Another pointed out that Craig is simply a soap character, venting: “A note to the doughnuts who complained about Craig swearing. CORRIE IS NOT REAL! And he’s a actor. You saddos.”

Craig was the fifth celebrity to enter the house behind Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh, Nikita Kuzmin and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu. Former X Factor judges Sharon and Louis, both 71, were given the power to choose which housemate will face eviction later in the week.

Speaking to hosts AJ Odudu Will Best before entering the house, the music manager revealed he was aware his good pal Sharon had also signed up for the show. A nod back to his X Factor days, Will asked if Louis would gravitate more towards “the boys, the girls, or over 24s?”

However Louis stated that he was there for his former co-star “Mrs O”. But this came as a surprise to the presenters as the celebs are not supposed to know who is going into the famous house.

The error was picked up by fans who raced to social media to share their thoughts. One wrote: “I swear Sharon told Louis she was going in straight away and then he said me to.”

Another agreed: “Sharon and Louis definitely told each other they were going into the house.” Claiming the TV duo ruined the illusion of television, a third fumed: “Louis and Sharon ruining the magic of telly already by not even pretending they didn’t know each other was going in.”
