Celebrity Big Brother star ‘set to quit’ show as ITV bosses ‘on high alert’

A Celebrity Big Brother star is reportedly set to quit after Sharon Osbourne left the show.

It’s said Louis Walsh, 71, could soon walk out of the house after his good pal Sharon exited the series on Wednesday (March 13). It’s alleged the X Factor judge had insisted he would not say yes to ITV’s reboot without Sharon being there.

The two X Factor judges certainly made the most of their time together in the house and slammed the likes of James Corden and Anna Wintour. Fans couldn’t believe how unfiltered their opinions were and some even wondered if they’d forgotten they were being filmed.

But Sharon was only in the house for a week as she was a “Celebrity Lodger”, and with her gone it’s said CBB bosses see Louis as a “flight risk”.

A source told The Sun: “Louis would only go into the show with Sharon booked in there with him. CBB pulled out all the stops to make it happen. They know Louis is a flight risk now Sharon is gone and no one would be surprised if he left.

“Louis will still receive his full fee, so he has nothing to lose. Without Sharon he will be lost as they have such a close friendship in the house.

“Everyone is on high alert for Louis to throw in the towel, but he’s making such good television, the producers are praying that he will stay.” It’s said Louis would still be paid the alleged six-figure sum he’s getting to do the show.

Louis has sparked a feud with his former X Factor act Jedward during his time in the house. He labelled the twins – John and Edward Grimes – “vile” when asked what he thought of them by co-star Colson Smith.

Corrie star Colson said: “They’ve done well”, prompting Louis to reply: “I got £5million from them. I swear on my mother’s life.”

Colson said: “B****y hell, I wish I had a Jedward.” But Louis claimed: “And they were vile. But they were novelty. It was great for the show. It was all about the show.”

But Jedward had been watching the episode on Tuesday (March 12) at Gemma Collins’ house and hit back at the former TV judge. They disputed his claims in a clip filmed by Gemma.

They branded him a “cold-hearted b****d who didn’t even send us flowers when our mom died”. The twins lost their mum Susanna to cancer in 2019
