Denise Richards was ‘urged’ by her then husband Charlie Sheen to strip for her Playboy cover shoot.
Denise, 53, was midway through her four-year-long marriage to actor Charlie Sheen when she posed for the 2004 Gala Christmas issue of Playboy. She explained to the famous magazine that her husband “thought it would be pretty cool to have his wife in [the magazine].”
The Real Housewives, who celebrates her birthday today (February 17), was 33 at the time of the shoot and wore massive silver ornaments as earrings like a ‘Christmas tree’ on the front cover of Playboy.

“[Charlie] has been a huge fan of the magazine for years,” she said. “I thought it was the perfect time in my life to do this, and it pushed me to get my ass in shape!”
Denise is known for her bombshell looks and sex appeal, famously turning heads in the steamy sex scene in Wild Things (1998). She also played Cassie, the attractive cousin of Ross and Monica in Friends, in an episode that had co-stars drooling over her.
Charlie Sheen and Denise divorced in 2006 but share daughter Sami Sheen, who has taken after her mother’s good looks. Sami recently started an OnlyFans account, which caused a rift between her and Charlie.
“She is 18 years now and living with her mother,” Charlie Sheen said via a statement to Fox. “This did not occur under my roof. I do not condone this, but since I’m unable to prevent it, I urged her to keep it classy, creative and not sacrifice her integrity.”
Denise has publicly supported her daughter’s decision to sell racy snaps online. After Sami announced on Instagram that she was on the site, Denise was among those to chime in. “Sami I will always support you & always have your back,” she posted on Instagram, adding: “I love you.”
However Denise has recently had to set the record straight after rumours about a collaboration with Sami on the adult site, which saw her blasted as “inappropriate” by fans.
Opening up on The Viall Files podcast, Denise claimed she hadn’t even been on her daughter’s site. “They’re so judgmental to me and people are like, ‘How can you do this? Your daughter’,” she said. “I didn’t collaborate with my daughter.”
