Chloe Madeley has hit out at online trolls after she was forced to spend time in hospital with her one-year-old daughter Bodhi at the weekend after the tot developed some worrying symptoms.
Chloe, 36, who mutually split from Bodhi’s dad, James Haskell, in September last year, shared a snap with her Instagram followers on Sunday showing her cradling her baby on a hospital bed. Assuring fans Bodihi was now on the mend, however, she wrote: “Bodhi absolutely fine now FYI, she had croup, scary and distressing but dealt with swiftly.”
According to the NHS, croup is a common condition that mainly affects babies’ and young children’s airways. It can result in sufferers developing difficulty breathing, a barking cough and a raspy and hoarse voice.

Later in the day, meanwhile, Chloe returned to the platform to post a late night shot of Bodhi enjoying the Super Bowl on TV surrounded by dried pasta. Despite their differences, Chloe and James have put on a united front in recent times to co-parent the youngster, and have been seen hugging in a surprising public display of affection.
Chloe – the daughter of former This Morning pair Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan – also took time on Sunday evening to slam “trolls” over their “annoying” and “wrong” assessment of her initial “cryptic” update that featured Bodhi eating crisps in hospital, without an explanation as to why she was there. “To my small % of trolls,” she began. “Last night got scary around 5am-ish. By 5:45am-ish we were at the hospital.”
She continued: “All photos were taken and posted around 10am while waiting to be discharged and honestly it was because the Quavers photo was so cute I couldn’t stop laughing at my crisp mad girl. I then realised yet again it could be called ‘cryptic’ as we were clearly at the hospital, so I quickly gave a NON DRAMATIC update.”
Chloe added that there was “no enjoyment to be had” when you’re concerned about your child’s health so any vitriol should be regarded as “nonsense”. She added: “You really don’t know what’s happened NOR the timeline of it happening, so to presume you do is at best annoying, more accurately, wrong.
“I’ll never not stand up to ignorant opinions on the internet. Ever. Nor should anyone IMO.” Chloe then thanked her followers who had sent her supportive messages throughout her ordeal, however.

Big Brother bosses are looking to sign up James ahead of the launch of the celebrity series this spring, meanwhile. The 38-year old has been touted as one of the most likely stars to appear on the ITV show, which has seen a huge resurge in interest after returning to our screens last autumn.
With Celebrity Big Brother due to kick off in March, bosses are now keen to finalise the line-up ahead of the show launch. And it seems producers at the show are keen to have former England rugby star James enter the house. Should he decide to sign on the dotted line, he would join a number of other rumoured housemates including the Princess of Wales’ uncle, Gary Goldsmith.
