Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson are set to get married after six years of dating.
The Coldplay frontman, 47, has popped the question to the Fifty Shades of Grey actress after he got the approval of his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow. The former couple share children Apple, 19, and Moses, 17.
A source told The Mirror: “The couple got engaged a while ago and have kept the news private. But now they are being open about it with their circles.

“They have been besotted with each other from day one so taking this next step was inevitable. They are in no rush to plan the wedding but are just enjoying making their commitment official.”
The Marvel star was recently seen wearing an emerald ring on her wedding finger at her 34th birthday party in LA last October. The news of their engagement comes after the star – who tries to keep their romance out of the public eye – opened up about her dreams of having a family.
In an interview with Bustle Magazine, she confessed she how much she enjoys spending time with Chris’ children and “really wants to experience” motherhood. Speaking about Apple and Moses, she told the publication: “I love those kids like my life depends on it. With all my heart.
“How do I feel about motherhood? I’m so open to that. I’ve gotten to this place where I really want to experience everything life has to offer. And especially being a woman, I’m like, ‘What a magical f***ing thing to do. What a crazy, magical, wild experience.’
“If that’s meant to happen for me, I’m totally down for it. We’re not here for very long, so if I’m meant to be a mother, bring it on.” Dakota and Chris have been dating each other since 2017 a year after the hitmaker “consciously uncoupled” from Gwyneth.
The two actors made the headlines last year when the Goop founder shared a snap of them holding hands on social media. When she was asked about her thoughts surrounding the reaction to the post, Dakota gushed: “I’m glad there was a positive reaction.
“I grew up in a family that was so big, and I just believe in saying ‘blood is thicker than water’. The actual saying is ‘The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb’ which means the people you choose are more solid than the connections to the people you’re actually born to.
“No matter how f***ed up it is, or who’s in rehab, or who’s not speaking to whom, or who’s divorcing whom, we’re family. And we are always going to be a family, it’s really real.
“You grow and you embrace and you say, ‘F**k you and f**k off’ and then, ‘I love you, come back’.”
