Colson Smith’s Corrie co-star agrees with ‘boring’ comment which left him in tears

Coronation Street star Jack P. Shephard appeared to agree with comments made about Colson Smith which left him in tears.

During Wednesday’s instalment (March 13) of Celebrity Big Brother, the stars took part in a challenge where they had to answer questions about their fellow housemates. Some questions were positive, but others were particularly harsh.

Levi Roots was asked which housemate he thinks is the most boring. “Pre yesterday… I would have said it would have been Colson,” the 65-year-old said.

He added: “But it’s not because of how he overcame the singing competition. So I’m not going to say that now because he overcame that… so that’s what I’m going to say.”

Colson looked shocked at confused by the remark as Fern Britton assured him: “Can I just say, you have never bored a single person in this house.” The comment left the 25-year-old in tears as he took himself to the toilet and broke down.

During tonight’s episode of Celebrity Big Brother: Late & Live, presenter Will Best welcomed Colson’s co-stars Jack and Ben Price, who play David Platt and Nick Tilsley on the ITV soap.

The duo discussed the incident as Will asked: “Why do you think Levi calling him boring had that impact?” Jack shocked those in the studio when he responded: “I think he had a point.”

Ben, 51, covered his face with his hands as Will declared: “That’s his best friend!” But the actor wasn’t finished as he begged everyone to bear with him.

Will questioned why they thought Colson was so emotional during the episode

“What I think Levi was probably getting at is that Colson’s been nice to everyone,” Jack explained. “So I think he was probably saying someone who’s not slagged someone off or had arguments with someone.”

He added: “And someone that’s not been the centre of the drama, it’s probably Colson. That’s what I’d probably say.” Ben reiterated his confusion over what Levi originally meant before Jack admitted he felt the decision was a “cop out”.
