Comic Janey Godley has left fans reaching for tissues with a heartwarming video of her reuniting with her cherished sausage dog Honey following her emotional move into hospice care.
The 63-year-old Scottish comedian made the tear-jerking announcement just last month that she has terminal cancer after it spread further, taking to social media to confirm her switch to the hospice where she’ll be receiving palliative support.

Taking to instagram, Janey shared a touching video that caught the moment her sweet pooch, Honey, let out excited cries while leaping onto her – showcasing a bond that could melt the coldest of hearts.
Glasgow’s very own viral sensation, renowned for her hilarious lip-sync takes on Nicola Sturgeon’s COVID-19 briefings, is known for flooding her timelines with adorable dachshund clips that her followers adore.
In the cute video, little Honeys tail is all aflutter with happiness as she welcomes Janey with loads of doggie love, all neatly summed up by the comics endearing caption: “All the love.”, reports the Daily Record.
In another snippet, the pup is getting some major snuggles wrapped in a blanket on Janey’s hospice bed while lapping up some ear scratches.
Diagnosed with ovarian cancer back in November 2021, Janey had to face the tough reality that her condition had worsened and take the difficult step of moving into hospice care as doctors confirmed they’ve done all they could.
Janey, a mum-of-one, had been given the all-clear in 2022, revealing on X that a scan showed “no evidence of disease”.
However, in a devastating update, she later shared that a subsequent scan had detected signs of the disease in her abdomen.
As a result, she had to cancel her autumn 2024 tour due to her illness. Last month, she broke the heartbreaking news to fans on X, announcing that she was receiving end-of-life care.
