Comedian mum takes on influencer’s dance routine in hilarious viral parody

A comedian mum-of-two left her fans howling in laughter with her hilarious take on a social media influencer’s “energy shifting” dance routine. Celeste Barber, 42, is famed for her comical take on social media trends, and her latest attempt to make her 9.6 million Instagram followers giggle was no different.

Captioning the parody she wrote: “Sunday scaries.” The clip begins with a toned model flaunting her physique, as she energetically twirled declaring: “3 ways to shift your energy as a mama.”

The video quickly cuts to Celeste giving her own hilarious reinterpretation, wine in hand. Scribbling, “Whatever gets you through ladies,” she gyrates comically in a black one-piece. The cheeky spoof prompted one follower to remark: “When I saw the first scene, I hoped that this is Celeste Barber or otherwise I am wasting my time watching some ridiculous nonsense video!”

Another quipped: “I’m down with the second version (Celeste’s). The first one would make me want to denounce ever doing anything positive ever again.”

Meanwhile, a third cracked up saying: “That glass of wine is good enough inspiration for me!” Whilst a fourth blasted ‘influencer culture’, commenting: “These women who need to post themselves and their body to get attention. We all know the internal dialogue would be, ‘Look at how great I look’ I don’t really do this rubbish, just another opportunity to show off’.”

Some defended influencers, however, praising the subject of Celeste’s video in particular. “The first mama looks like Melissa Ambrossini,” one woman said. “She’s one kind hearted influencer and entrepreneur and did a lot to help people women. I think she was a dancer before. So no judgements but enjoy every style of parenting as long as you feel good and can laugh.”

Celeste has recently wrapped up a sold out tour in the US with her hilarious antics. She’s now back in her native Australia, gearing up to continue her performances later this week.
