Coronation Street star Kimberly Hart-Simpson has announced the devastating loss of her auntie, Patricia Walker.
The actress, whose return to the cobbles as sex worker Nicky Wheatley has just been confirmed, said her final farewell to her beloved family member during an emotional funeral service this week.
Posting a heartwrenching statement alongside a picture of the order of service on Instagram, the 37-year-old, said: “Today we said a goodbye to my auntie. Whilst she went on to say hello again to others.”

Kimberly, who hasn’t appeared on the soap since 2022, is making her grand return for a storyline surrounding, Lauren Bolton’s(played by Caitlin Rose Fitton) disappearance.
During a recent Instagram compilation, the talented performer appeared elated to be back on the show. She wrote: “Getting back into the swing of things @coronationstreet. Exactly four years since I first began playing ‘Nicky Wheatley’, and I have been making visits ever since! I absolutely adore the people on the show, and working with @rob.mallard, it’s good to be back.
“P.s of course I visited the charity shop set”.
The blonde bombshell is diving right into the deep end, playing a pivotal part in the Lauren Bolton story. The teenager vanished several weeks ago, shockingly placing fan favourite, Roy Cropper, as the main suspect for her disappearance and possible death.
In upcoming episodes, Daniel, who is also a suspect in the case, will go on a mission to find Nicky, in an attempt to his clear his name, believing her past as an escort could be utilised to prove who really attacked Lauren.
Having secured a new role as an outreach worker, Nicky, is in the perfect position to gather information from the girls she looks after on the streets. However, her reappearance could put another spanner in the works. Having once held a torch for Daniel, she could put his relationship with Bethany at risk.
