Kym Marsh has shared a moving tribute to her baby son Archie, 15 years after his tragic death.
She welcomed Archie with her ex-husband, former Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas on 11 February 2009, but sadly he arrived 18 weeks early and passed away shortly after birth. To remember what would have been his 15th birthday, Kym shared an emotional post with her 612K Instagram followers.
The former Coronation Street actress posted a touching photo filled with mementos of Archie, including his tiny footprint, a candle with the initial ‘A’, an angel-engraved cream box, and a framed photo with the letter ‘A’.

She accompanied the poignant image with: “15 years since life changed forever. 15 years of missing you, of loving you, of wishing we could hold you again. Of wishing we could hear your laugh for the first time. Wishing we had heard your voice. Wishing we had got to see you play and run and enjoy your birthdays, as you so deserved to do.”
“We will never have those things with you Archie but you live on in us all,” she added. Kym later expressed how she plans to “celebrate” her son and remember the “beautiful boy,” that he was. She noted: “We will smile at the thought of your face and we will hug each other as if from you.”
Kym shared that “this year is a little bit more special,” as it’s the first year without her dad, David Marsh. She told her son Archie to look out for his Grandad in heaven, who will be giving him “big cuddles from us all.”
“I know you will cuddle him right back for us,” she wrote, adding that it’s “comforting” to know they’ll be together. “Although we will always be missing our jigsaw piece, we know you are creating your own jigsaw up there that one day we will all be a part of, until we are complete again.” Kym added.
She ended her heartfelt post with: “Happy birthday son. We love you always and forever. Kiss Grandad from us.” Fans rushed to offer their support to Kym and her family.
“So much love to you and your little boy up there with his Grandad,” one person wrote. Another said: “Thinking of Archie and thinking of you. I’m sure he was waiting for your dad and ran with open arms to hug him.”
Others sent messages of love and support, with one writing: “Sending light and love to you all Kym,” while another commented: “I can’t believe it’s 15yrs darling. You were so brave then and so brave now.”
