Coronation Street star Ryan Prescott has confirmed that Ryan Connor will be returning to the cobbles very soon.
Corrie fans will remember that Ryan departed the soap in December after his scandalous affair with Daisy Midgeley was exposed. He left abruptly for a new life in Glasgow as a DJ with Crystal Hyde, but now he’s coming back to Weatherfield.
And it looks like he’s going to cause a stir, too, because Ryan told Daily Star that “chaos” is going to ensue. He teased a dramatic love triangle could be on the horizon involving Daisy and Bethany, and it’s Daisy he’s leaning towards.

When Daniel found out his ex-fiancée Daisy was cheating on him with Ryan, he came to blows with his love rival. Daniel and Daisy split and he’s since found love with Ryan’ ex Bethany Platt.
Hinting at more drama, Ryan told Daily Star at the TV Choice Awards 2024: “She was Ryan’s first girlfriend when he came back on the show, so they have a little bit of history. I think Ryan has such an existing relationship with Daisy that Daisy will be his first port of call, but there’s always room for a little bit of chaos on the street, so we’ll see…”
Despite his character’s turbulent love life, it appears the Best Actor nominee would like Ryan to settle down. Asked what he’d like Ryan’s future to look like, he said: “If I could choose anything, I’d like Ryan to have a little bit more of a traditional footing, maybe a little bit of grounding.
“Maybe a real relationship, that would be nice.” Revealing his return, Ryan told the Mirror: “Is he still not back? He should be back. He’s in Glasgow, a resident DJ with Crystal who’s managing the PR for him. But he should be back, I thought he was back this week.
“Filming is six to eight weeks ahead of transmission so I’ve been back a month, and so it’s soon, yeah. But sometimes they stretch it out a little bit.”
He added: “I think when you have been through something to the degree of trauma that they have together, there’s an invisible, everlasting bond. It’s a basis for the foundations of a relationship, whatever relationship flourishes from it. He left right in the middle of it all, so lots of room for something to happen there.
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV1 at 8pm
