Coronation Street’s Tina O’Brien spotted for first time since ‘brawl’ outside home

Coronation Street’s Tina O’Brien has been spotted out for the first time since a “brawl” outside her home.

The actress, famed for her role as Sarah Louise Barlow in the ITV soap, was reportedly the “victim of an unprovoked incident” earlier this year. Tina, 40, who joined the popular show as Gail Platt’s daughter at the age of 12 in 1999, has spent most of her life in the public eye.

Since the incident, Sarah has kept a low profile but decided to break cover as she stepped out to pick up some flowers in Cheshire. The soap siren kept her outfit lowkey as she nipped out wearing a black oversized hoody and beige tracksuit bottoms.

She teamed her dress-down look with a pair of comfy white trainers and also opted for no make-up and blonde tresses swooped into a neat up do. Greater Manchester Police are currently investigating reports of an assault outside the star’s Bramhall residence on Friday (March 15).

It was reported at the time that Corrie chiefs had given Tina a week off from filming after she was involved in an altercation outside her Stockport home. It has been claimed that she was the victim of an unprovoked attack. The incident that was published by The Sun seemed to show Tina being at the centre of a brawl. In the shocking footage, Tina appeared to take a punch while having her hair pulled.

There was also a moment where she appeared to be on the floor with one of the youngsters. A representative for the soap star told the Mirror at the time that Tina had been the “victim”. The spokesperson told the publication: “Tina was the victim of an unprovoked incident outside her home which she has reported to the police.”

Meanwhile, a mother of one of the children also caught up in the altercation came forward to hail Tina for “being brave” and stepping in to defend her child. The mum told The Sun: “Tina has been pretty brave in stepping in. Tina is only little herself and she was defending my daughter, so I am extremely grateful to her. You can hear in her voice on the video that she is frightened. She went on to add: “This is also not like her, and she is a really good person. I have thanked her and would have done the same if it was my house.”
