Denise Welch once confessed how she would have bedded a fellow Coronation Street star during her time on the soap.
The TV favourite, 65, played Natalie Barnes on the long-running soap back in 1997. And for three years, Denise was a regular on the cobbles.
As the Rovers Return lady, Natalie was involved in several big storylines and scandals, including her affair with Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell). And the character’s wedding to Des in 1998 got a whopping 20 million viewers.

But in 2000 Denise said her goodbyes and left the cobbles. Since then, it’s fair to say the actress, whose son is chart-topping musician Matty Healy from The 1975, has not stopped.
She’s become a Loose Woman, had acting roles in Hollyoaks and Waterloo Road and turned her hand to reality TV – winning Celebrity Big Brother in 2012. Denise has also recently returned to the stage for a new play The Gap.
But back in 2012, Denise made a rather candid confession about her sex life. And it turns out there was a certain Corrie actor that she wished she’d eaten alive when she had the choice.
Speaking to Piers Morgan on his Life Stories show, Denise didn’t hold back when it came to describing her bedroom antics. She told the host: “I like sex. What’s the problem with being a sexaholic? I just like s***ging.”
Although Denise starred in Corrie alongside 91-year-old Bill Roache, who plays Ken Barlow, she didn’t become one of his 1,000 conquests. Bill once confessed how bedded 1,000 women thanks to his career on the soap.
And speaking to Piers Morgan Denise said that she wished she was. Denise said: “I did not know Bill back then. If I did I would have made mincemeat out of him.”
In April last year, Denise revealed the “worst” behind-the-scenes secret following her time on the Cobbles. The actress exposed her forgetful co-stars whilst on Loose Women.
Denise revealed how the actors who played Jack, Vera and Percy Sugden, used to get creative to remember their lines. Speaking to the other ITV panellists, she said: “When I was in Coronation Street I will always remember when we were doing scenes in the Rovers living room, I did a lot of my scenes with Bill and Dawn, who were Jack and Vera, and everywhere you looked there would be a teapot which had lines on it.”
Denise added: “But the worst one for it was Bill Waddington, who played Percy Sugden, he would literally get a post-it note and put it on the back of an extra. He would put his lines everywhere and he’d write them on everything.”
