Coronation Street fans were not happy when they discovered that actor Ryan Russell was back on the market in 2022.
After three years of bliss with then-girlfriend Evie Pickerill, the couple secretly decided to call time on their relationship, leaving Ryan looking for love. However, it was especially heart-breaking, as Evie, 33, had made lots of children happy as she was a regular presenter on the CBeebies channel.
Ryan himself is no stranger to the world of TV, having appeared on Cbeebies himself when he was a child, before going on to become a host there from 2017 to 2019. After that, however, things kept going up for actor Ryan as he was able to land his big break on the ITV soap in 2019.

Since then, Ryan’s character Michael Bailey has been involved in some of the show’s toughest storylines. Amongst this has been tackling racism within the police, as well as helping his father Ed with his gambling dependencies.
Now, things are heating up for Michael as he got hot and steamy with barmaid Glenda in recent weeks. However, fans are gearing up for a potential surprise pregnancy storyline that could completely change the character’s lives.
But in his real life, things could not be better for Ryan as he has discovered love for another time. Fans were shocked to discover that Russell is dating a huge model star, who is very well-known across the fashion world.
Despite calling time on their relationship in November, both Evie and Ryan quickly moved on and found their next flames. Evie was seen sharing a snap with a mystery man on her Instagram account, as Ryan also was papped cosying up to his new girl, Sasha Tesoro – who is a huge name and works with a Manchester-based modelling agency.

According to The Sun newspaper, the pair have been loved up since March 2023, after first following each other on social media. Since then, the pair have been regularly liking each other’s photos and uploads, and have been seen together on numerous occasions.
Eagle-eyed fans of the show have spotted the couple spending a lot of time together, with Ryan going as far as to post a number of cheeky photos of his beau. In November 2023, the couple whisked themselves away for a romantic getaway, sharing a number of snaps of some ingredients for a stew the pair cooked together.

Speaking on his acting career, Ryan told Digital Spy that he was grateful to be given such powerful storylines on the show. He explained about the police racism plot: “It is important because these things do happen.”
He added: “I watched Jermaine Jenas’ documentary, The Truth About Police Stop & Search, and it was shocking to find out that some people have been stopped 20 times during a regular day. It affects people’s mental health and statistics show that the police tactic stop and search is biased towards Black people so it is something to have a conversation about and see how this can be changed and improved.”
