The Dance Moms Reunion trailer has dropped – and it’s already sending fans wild with on-set storm offs, veiled insults and plenty of tears.
The two-hour special will air on Lifetime in May this year, starring JoJo Siwa, Kendall Vertes, Kalani Hilliker, Chloe Lukasiak and sisters Brooke and Paige Hyland. Noticeably absent from the line-up are Maddie and Mackenzie Ziegler – arguably two of the most successful stars of the show – and Nia Sioux.
Dance teacher Abby Lee Miller isn’t featured in the trailer aside from in a series of flashbacks, either, though mums Jessalyn Siwa, Kelly Hyland, Jill Vertes, Kira Hilliker and Christi Lukasiak will make an appearance in the unscripted special.

Things are already looking plenty tense as the group meet up for the first time in 10 years. Kelly can be seen admitting to daughters Brooke and Paige: “I feel like I ruined your life and your dance career,” after her physical fight with Abby led to their withdrawal from both the team and the programme itself.
Kalani, meanwhile, confessed: “I can’t believe I caused that.” Brooke burst into tears, while Kalani got up from her seat and strode off-set, confessing: “I don’t know if I can talk about this.”
There were plenty of tears for Chloe, too, who has claimed on YouTube that Abby made comments about her lazy eye throughout filming. Chloe said in the new trailer: “I thought I wasn’t enough, in every single way.” Paige, meanwhile, said: “It’s hard to say I forgive [Abby] when she did so many nasty things to me.”
But for JoJo, she admitted: “No matter how bad it got, I always wanted to be there.” She aimed a thinly veiled dig at the Ziegler sisters and at Nia, as Kendall confessed: “We would not be here without Dance Moms. It was literally the stepping stone into who we are today.”
JoJo then sniped: “Them not being here is kind of like, ‘Let me erase my past, pretend it never happened, shove it down the drain’, when it’s like… That’s why you are who you are!” In a sweet moment towards the end of the teaser, the girls can be seen doing their ‘one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight’ warm-up routine and shaking their limbs out before heading out to be filmed.

It’s fair to say all of the dancers have been affected by their time on the show, and Chloe has discussed her heartbreak over trolls – and “an adult in her life” – commenting on her health condition. She was diagnosed with silent sinus syndrome which required surgery to fix, and can cause double vision and displacement of the eye.
Chloe said on YouTube: “Even an adult in my life made fun of it not knowing or caring what was really going on. It’s just hard when people are saying things and they don’t really know what’s going on.”
