ITV’s Dancing On Ice viewers were left scratching their heads over a comment made by judge Jayne Torvill about Ryan Thomas’ future on the show.
The ex-Coronation Street star stumbled twice during his performance, fans were gutted for him, but some were puzzled when Jayne seemed to hint at his future in the competition.
The remaining contestants, including Amber Davies, Greg Rutherford, Roxy Shahidi, Ricky Norwood, Miles Nazaire, Lou Sanders, Eddie “the Eagle” Edwards and Adele Roberts, took to the ice for Musicals Week. Hosts Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern were there as always to guide us through the latest episode.

Each contestant and their professional skating partner faced judges Oti Mabuse, Christopher Dean, Jayne and guest judge Johnny Weir, hoping to impress enough to stay another week. But after Ryan’s two stumbles, blamed on his skate toe pick, Jayne’s feedback left some viewers baffled. She told Ryan: “Good luck for next week.”
Viewers of X were left puzzled by a comment made by Jayne Torvill, leading some to question if she knew something they didn’t. She wished Ryan ‘good luck for next week’, which seemed odd to some fans if Ryan wasn’t guaranteed to be in the next episode.
One viewer asked: “Does Jayne Torvill know something we don’t? Her words to Ryan, ‘good luck for next week’. You wouldn’t word it that way if Ryan was automatically included?” Another echoed this sentiment.
In other news, last weekend saw Lou Sanders and Claire Sweeney face off in the dreaded skate-off. Sadly, Claire and her pro skating partner Colin Grafton were sent packing. Despite being in serious pain, Claire managed to perform thanks to the help of a physio and was glad her son could watch her.
The previous week, Hannah Spearritt was eliminated from the competition. Speaking on This Morning, she revealed a secret scare just hours before hitting the ice, saying: “I’m glad I’m out of it in one piece, do you know what I mean?”
“I can watch it next Sunday on the couch. It was amazing to learn that skill. Yes it is completely dangerous. Anything can go wrong. I had something go wrong three hours before. It wasn’t anything major but it just reminds you anything can go wrong at any time. It’s just a lot to think about with every move, to make sure it goes right.”

Hannah also opened up about her autoimmune condition and how it affected her training, adding: “It had a massive impact at the start, especially. I felt like I’ve only really come into my own in the last couple of weeks.”
“I’ve been solid and feeling good every day. There was a lot of ups and downs but the last two weeks have been solid. I feel like I was about to get going, but I’m grateful to be able to exercise every day.”
