Dancing on Ice has been hit with Ofcom complaints after the cast of Magic Mike performed a racy routine.
86 viewers lodged complaints after watching the spectacle, which featured a number of shirtless men performing suggestive moves on stage, during Sunday night’s (February 25) show. A representative for Ofcom said: “The complaints related to a Magic Mike themed performance being broadcast before the watershed.”
They were joined by host Stephen Mulhern, who ripped his shirt open to reveal a fake six pack. Meanwhile Holly Willoughby didn’t know where to look as the dancers, from the London strip show, showcased their seductive moves in front of the audience.

While the judges enjoyed the performance, viewers at home didn’t have the same response. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, fans fumed over the raunchy routine which was no doubt watched by children.
One wrote: “I mean the cast of #MagicMike brightened up my Sunday Evening. Not sure the kids were impressed with half-naked men gyrating.” Another fumed: “Magic Mike is now wholesome family viewing? What the f**k happened there? #DancingOnIce?”
A third remarked: “What on Earth has happened to Sunday evening TV? Where’s Songs of Praise?” Someone else echoed: “Don’t remember seeing loads of women with their tops off on a family Sunday night program #DancingOnIce.”
Despite the backlash, others praised the Magic Mike act and Stephen’s involvement. “Well I’ve watched @dancingonice from the start and I have to say, I don’t think I’ve laughed so much as I did watching @StephenMulhern dancing with those Magic Mike hunks. You’re a legend Stephen!” said one viewer.
Another penned: “Thank you Magic Mike 10 10 10 10”. It comes after Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards was booted from the competition alongside his partner Vicky Ogden.
The ski jumper, 60, landed in the bottom two for the first time with Love Island star Amber Davies. Despite putting on an impressive performance in the skate off, it wasn’t enough as he was given the boot by unanimous vote.
But those at home were far from pleased with the result as they swarmed social media to brand the show “a fix”. One fumed: “It’s a con, Amber fluffed up at the end and did not skate on her own, and Chris saw it clearly, Eddie was robbed he was the better skater, plus he had to lift his partner. The competition is rigged. Unfair elimination.”
“Absolute disgrace, thats me not watching any more, fix,” agreed a second. Another echoed: “Nonsense decision, Eddie is by far a better individual skater than Amber, he should have gone through based purely on skating.”
