Dancing on Ice Johnny Weir’s love life – ‘sexting’ scandal and joint masturbation ban

Dancing on Ice judge Johnny Weir has become a firm-favourite with fans – but away from the ice he has had a rather rocky love life.

The two-time Olympian made his debut on the ITV show last month – replacing Ashley Banjo. At the time, dancer Ashley took a step back from the show to concentrate on touring commitments with his dance group Diversity.

Prior to his stint on Dancing on Ice though, Johnny already had an award-winning and successful career. He has bagged two Olympic medals and won the U.S national champion – making him the first skater to achieve this feat in more than two decades.

He ended up retiring from competitive skating in 2013, and went on to become a TV judge on US series Skating With The Stars. He then appeared as a contestant in the American version of Strictly – Dancing with the Stars.

Johnny appeared on Dancing on Ice last month

Away from making jaws drop on the ice, Johnny has had a rather rocky love life. In 2011, he married his boyfriend, Victor Voronov but the pair ended up separating in 2014 and divorced the following year. However, during their time as a married couple, Johnny and Victor experienced numerous problems.

Sexting scandal

Johnny and Victor split after two years of marriage

In March 2014, Johnny announced he and Victor had ended things. He tweeted: “It is with great sadness that I announce that my husband and I are no longer together. My heart hurts, and I wish him well.”

While in April, it was alleged that Johnny had sent racy snaps and messages to men he met online while married to Victor. According to Radar, Johnny met and sent full-frontal selfies to men on the gay social network Grindr.

In messages allegedly obtained by Radar, a man identified himself as Johnny in one of the alleged conversations. He then asked a Grindr member if he lived nearby – but the location was not known.

Mutual masturbation ban

Johnny reportedly came up with a set of conditions for their reconciliation

Johnny and Victor reportedly reconciled though later that month. TMZ reported at the time that Johnny decided to give their two-year marriage another go.

However, it was alleged that Johnny had come up with a set of conditions for their reconciliation. In documents obtained by TMZ, the skater reportedly penned a five-page postnup in which he details his rules.

The document lists a number of alleged inappropriate actions, banning the likes of sex outside the marriage and mutual masturbation and sexting. As well as oral sex outside the marriage and aggressive flirting.

TMZ also claimed that the contract can be vetoed if either Johnny or Vito comes “in close range or contact with someone from our past or someone to be part of the future.” However, Johnny and Victor then reportedly called things off again – and their divorce was finalised in 2015.

Is Johnny dating now?

Johnny is believed to be single

Johnny has since thrown himself into work, presenting and commenting on NBC during the U.S championships. He also recently stepped in for Ashley Banjo as a judge on Dancing on Ice. However, he hasn’t confirmed whether he is in a new relationship.

Meanwhile for Victor, despite his dramatic divorce, he got engaged to Joti Polizoakis, an ice dancer for the German national team in 2015. Talking to Page Six he gushed over his new beau. He said: “This person is the most genuine, kind, honest and sweet person.”

Victor added: “I’ve never been treated better in my life. Anybody would be lucky to know a person like this. However, eight months later, it was reported that Victor and Joti had called things off.”
