Dancing on Ice’s Greg Rutherford bonked in same room as teammates and got ‘sexual offers’

Dancing on Ice star Greg Rutherford revealed he bonked in the same room as his fellow athletes while at major athletics events.

The former Olympic champ, who won gold in the long jump, said he engaged in “hedonistic and promiscuous behaviour” during his time as an athlete. Greg, 37, admitted that a lot of “bedroom-hopping” took place at major championship events.

He even said some of his fellow athletes referred to the accreditation they wore around their necks as a “p***y pass”. The track and field athlete, who is dancing with Vanessa James on the ITV show, didn’t expect to get so much action in between his jumps.

In his autobiography, Unexpected, he wrote: “[The 2006 Commonwealth Games] was my first experience of the pulling power of the accreditation we all wore around our necks. As I subsequently learned, the older members of our team referred to it as a ‘p***y pass’ because, well, it unlocked a few doors.

“English athletes were heavily criticised for not winning enough medals and I could see why — some of them seemed more intent on having fun and being a bit naughty than trying to set personal bests.

“At the age of 18 I was exposed to — and involved in — the hedonistic and promiscuous behaviour that is a familiar theme at the end of major championships.

Admitting he used to have sex in the same vicinity as his fellow athletes, he went on: “Sometimes I found myself — and more than one other couple — going at it in the same room. On the night of the closing ceremony there was a big party, and I found what went on absolutely unreal.

“I was staggered by just how many people got absolutely smashed and the bedroom-hopping that took place left, right and centre.”

It turns out he also got inundated with “sexual offers” from fans online. In his book, he wrote: “In the feverish atmosphere of London 2012 everyone wanted to be associated with a British gold medal winner.

“Overnight, my Twitter following grew hugely, from something like 6,000 to over 100,000, and suddenly I was getting sexual offers. And it wasn’t only young women — I seemed to have quickly developed quite a big gay following as well, which was really flattering.”
