Danny Dyer has given fans a massive clue that he could be returning to EastEnders as Mick Carter.
The 46-year-old actor has been busy filming a new movie, but he’s got everyone talking about a potential major comeback to the BBC One soap with a cheeky hint on Instagram.
He’s played Mick for almost 10 years and fans thought the former Queen Vic landlord was gone for good when he dived into the sea to save Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) his ex-wife.

However, there’s a little bit of hope that he didn’t drown and could be coming back to the show. Kellie Bright, who plays Linda recenrly posted a photo on her Instagram dressed up as Linda. She wore a funny T-shirt about a big storyline from Christmas which said: “I killed Keanu.”
She wrote: “So what this? Er, yeah. I just, I liked it and I thought I’d get it. You know when you see something and you think that is so me. That is so me that top. I just had to have it.” Danny hinted that Mick might be on his way back to the show, writing in the caption section: “Oh L…..Bring Mick back. [broken heart emoji].” This comment got 3,000 likes as fans got excited he might return.
Someone replied: “@officialdannydyer The only comment that matters! x.” Another fan said Linda needs Mick: “We want you back Danny L needs her Mick.” A third fan even had an idea for Mick’s comeback: “Yes , please bring Mick back…he could have easily washed up unconscious on Whitstable beach with Amnesia. Come on, they brought Dirty Den out of the canal…Xxx .”
Danny once said about EastEnders: “Anything is possible. Where would he have gone to? He can’t swim. I found it a bit odd.” Boss Chris Clenshaw has also teased fans that Mick might still be alive. Earlier this year, he said: “It’s a soap, anything can happen! There wasn’t a body so there’s every chance, will Mick rock back up in Walford in a few years covered in seaweed?
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday on BBC One at 7.30pm
