Dave Grohl has been slammed as “very irresponsible” by a major rock star.
The Foo Fighters singer is continuing to reel from the fallout of his baby scandal after it emerged he had fathered a love child with a fan. Since then, his fans have called the singer out for his poor behaviour, as his family continues to grapple with his betrayal.
A number of his fellow rock singers have also criticised his move, but one star has come out in support of the disgraced singer. The Pretender vocalist as described as “one of the nicest people on the planet”, albeit unaware of his actions.

Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor gave his perspective on the debacle, coming to the rescue of his good pal Dave. Speaking about their friendship on the Your Mom’s House podcast, Corey lept to Dave’s defence amid the ongoing hate.

“It’s so messy, 100 per cent messy,” Corey admitted. “I know Dave Grohl; he is one of the nicest people on the planet.”
Corey, 50, conceded that “mistakes were made” by the Foo Fighters frontman, but said he hoped fans would be forgiving of the star. However, this did not completely rule out Corey himself making a dig at the singer, who realised that Dave’s actions had been stupid.
“You know, I will say this: Obviously, it’s very irresponsible,” he explained. “I know there are a lot of disappointed fans out there because of the image that he has developed.”

He continued: “But I have to remind people that we’re not perfect. He was one of the last people to really have that image.”
Corey added later in the discussion that Dave clearly had “f*****g issues” and that he “f****d up”, but was willing to make things right. Dave himself has vowed to “regain” his family’s trust after he openly admitted to the baby back in September.
Confessing all on Instagram, the Best of You singer penned: “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.

“I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,” Dave added. “We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”
Dave is a proud dad of three other children – all of whom he shares with his wife Jordyn Blum, whom he married back in 2003. His three daughters; Violet – 18, Harper – 15 and Ophelia – 10, have had a massive influence on him both as a musician but also as a father.
Opening up to Time Magazine shortly after his second child Harper was born in 2012, Dave said: “It’s changed everything that I do. When you have kids, you see life through different eyes.”
