Eamonn Holmes was seen brushing off rumours as he interacted with fans on social media after a recent photo with his long-time friend Linda Lusardi caused a stir.
The veteran presenter took to Instagram last week to share a nostalgic snap of himself and his celebrity mate from both yesteryears and present-day, commenting: “1982 v 2024 and she hasn’t changed a bit. My wonderful, close friend Linda Lusardi who I went to see today. 42-year friendship x.”
However, the jovial image sparked speculation about Holmes’ marriage to Ruth Langsford, as commenters began questioning her absence. Despite reading comments, Eamonn chose to only respond to the positive feedback, replying with praying hand emojis when complimented: “You’re both still looking fabulous!”

In response to a commenter saying: “One of you hasn’t aged a bit,”, Holmes gratefully replied with a “thank you”. And, when another person said: “You haven’t changed either Eamonn.”
The GB News anchorman humorously replied: “If only,” Yet, questions concerning his wife’s location persisted, reports the Mirror. One concerned individual asked: “Where is your beautiful wife Ruth? Why or what are you trying to prove?” Meanwhile, another fan queried: “Where was poor Ruth?”
However, one viewer came to Eamonn’s aid, suggesting that perhaps Ruth was the one behind the camera. One fan clapped back, defending the long-standing friendship: “Why see the negative in this? They have been friends for 42 years! Amazing achievement!”
Another jumped to Eamonn’s defence with: “He’s showing what a good friendship they have! Why do some idiots always have to be negative, derogatory, accusatory and insinuate things? For nothing better to do? Obviously not.”
Speculation has been rife among fans as Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford haven’t been seen together recently, sparking rumours. The plot thickened when Eamonn posted a family photo without Ruth last month, causing a stir amongst their followers.
The GB News presenter shared a snap of his eldest son from his previous marriage to Gabriele, who he parted ways with in 1994, celebrating a christening with his own family. But just days later, Eamonn threw it back with a pic of him and Ruth looking all loved-up. The throwback from May 2018 featured the couple beaming away.
